But beside because TabletFriend is free, the customization is easy. By editing existing or a new .yaml file in any text editor (ex: notepad, vs code) you can customized the buttons layout and the theme. You can make any button as a macro or shortcut to any cmd command or any keyboard combination. So you can make it as complex as you can.

the tablete pro pen tool allows surface tablets to reach a minimum viable product... resent paying on the ms store though so will just find a 3rd party stylus and use with the tablet pro.
