What is T-IA Connect?

T-IA Connect is a desktop application that bridges AI language models with Siemens TIA Portal for industrial PLC programming. It enables automation engineers to generate deterministic PLC control logic (SCL, LAD) from natural language descriptions, and provides a complete headless interface to TIA Portal projects.

The application exposes 126 MCP (Model Context Protocol) tools for full TIA Portal automation — browse project trees, edit program blocks, manage tags, configure hardware, compile, and export. AI generates lightweight JSON or SCL text, while T-IA Connect's backend deterministically compiles it into compliant SimaticML XML for direct TIA Portal import.

Built with C# and .NET, T-IA Connect supports interactive and headless modes, project archiving, LAD/SCL/DB editing, tag table management, hardware configuration, and FDS documentation generation. Compatible with sovereign European AI models via OVHcloud and any MCP-compatible AI client (Claude, Gemini CLI, etc.).

Designed for industrial automation engineers, system integrators, and OEMs who want to accelerate PLC programming while maintaining safety and determinism. No hallucinated code ever reaches the PLC.
