What is Symlink Creator by Arnob Paul?

Symlink Creator is a GUI app that creates symbolic links (symlinks) based on the mklink command. It allows for the creation of multiple symlinks simultaneously. Symlinks, an NTFS feature, differ from traditional shortcut files as they don't have a file size and don't consume storage space. Symlink Creator is compatible with both files and folders and works on Windows Vista, 7, and 10/11 but not on Windows XP due to the absence of the mklink command.

To use Symlink Creator, add files or folders to the Source file or folder list to be copied as symlinks in the Destination path. The app's drag-n-drop feature simplifies the creation of multiple symlinks. Opt for the Use relative path if possible to use relative paths when creating symlinks, applicable when source and destination files/folders are on the same drive. If you wish to retain the script file after execution for logging purposes, tick the Retain script file after execution option.

Symlink Creator necessitates administrative rights as the mklink command, which it employs to create symlinks, requires administrative privilege.
