What is Studomate?

Studomate is a free, open-source automation learning studio that runs entirely in the browser, with no installation and no account required.

It lets you edit and simulate GRAFCET (Sequential Function Chart) and Ladder Logic in real time, and connects them to animated HMIs to visualize the physical system being controlled. GRAFCET and Ladder programs from the same project can communicate with each other through shared variables, closely mirroring how a real PLC behaves — rather than working with an isolated diagram.

Several free tools exist for GRAFCET or Ladder individually, but Studomate is built to bring both together with HMIs in a single environment, aimed at students and self-learners who don't have access to industrial hardware or licensed software outside of lab hours.
