What is Stubs?
Stubs takes your coding tasks, looks up the context within your repo, and produces a diff that you can approve. It's the quickest way to do tasks on an existing repo with AI. It can handle multi-file edits and large files. You can upload images or connect your database to provide context for your task, and Stubs will do the rest. After completing a task just move to another tab to start a new conversation to do another task. Unlike other tools it's a standalone application not based on VSCode. The goal of Stubs is to create a better UI for AI-driven development.
Stubs is most similar to Cursor Composer or Aider with a GUI. You can use your own API keys or run a local model with an OpenAI compatible API endpoint for free. Stubs is not meant to replace your IDE, it's more like a code review application where you review tasks of an AI developer.
