What is strackt?

Most teams choose between a managed platform that runs everything on its own infrastructure, and a server tool that sets up a VPS and then leaves the upkeep to them. strackt is the option in between.

Point it at your repository and it detects the stack: framework, runtime, database, cache, queues. From then on, pushing a commit is the deploy. strackt builds it, runs your migrations and releases with zero downtime, and every release is one click from rollback. Every pull request gets a real environment of its own (GitHub today).

The server underneath is ours to look after. Security advisories are matched against what your servers actually run and fixed for you; package, kernel and full distribution upgrades arrive the same way; restarts happen in a maintenance window you pick. Configuration is held in place, and backups go to storage you own.

It runs on any VPS you rent: Hetzner, DigitalOcean, Vultr, Linode, UpCloud and more. Laravel, plus WordPress, plain PHP, Symfony, Node.js, Next.js and Nuxt in beta.
