Stealward

Stealward is a cross-device anti-theft and monitoring app for Mac, iPhone, and iPad. When users need to step away from a table in a café, library, coworking space, or airport lounge—to use the restroom, take a call, or order another drink—Stealward helps them keep watch over the devices and belongings they leave behind.

HOW TO USE IT

1. Point the camera Position the device you are leaving behind so its camera can see the device and belongings you want to monitor.

2. Start protection Choose the camera, sensors, and AI Watchdog features you want to use, then start protection on the device you are leaving behind.

3. Check what is happening Use another linked Mac, iPhone, or iPad to receive alerts, open the encrypted live view, and review the latest video and events from the session.

KEY FEATURES

AI Watchdog for nearby belongings

AI Watchdog checks camera frames during a protection session and monitors the objects in view. It can describe potential threats in plain language, such as someone reaching toward a bag or removing an item, rather than reporting only that motion occurred.

Low-latency, end-to-end encrypted live video

Open a private live video stream from another linked Mac, iPhone, or iPad to see what the watching device sees. Picture in Picture can keep the stream visible while you browse, message, or use other apps.

Encrypted recordings, playback, and live rewind

Protection sessions can be recorded and encrypted on the watching device before upload. Only the user’s linked devices hold the keys needed to decrypt the recordings. Users can review completed sessions, return to important moments, and rewind while a supported session is still live.

Flexible cross-device protection

A Mac, iPhone, or iPad can act as the watching device, while another linked Apple device receives alerts and opens the live view. The roles are flexible and can be changed for different devices and situations.

Movement, power, battery, and offline awareness

Stealward can monitor the watching device for movement, charger disconnection, low battery, network changes, and offline events. These signals continue protecting the device even when nobody is actively watching the live stream.

Loud local alarm and remote alerts

If the watching device is disturbed, Stealward can sound a loud local alarm to attract attention and send an alert to the linked Apple devices the user carries.

Protection without additional hardware

Stealward uses the cameras, sensors, speakers, and network connections already available on supported Apple devices, allowing users to monitor their devices and nearby belongings without purchasing separate security hardware.
