What is Star Trail Stacker?

Star Trail Stacker is a browser-based astrophotography workspace that turns exposure sequences into star trails, fixed-ground nightscapes, deep-sky images, comet composites, planetary stacks and calibration masters. Frames are processed on your own device rather than uploaded to a server. The star-trail mode offers background-equalised blending, gap filling and optional aircraft or satellite removal; other modes provide their own controls and export formats, including 16-bit images and FITS where supported. It works in modern browsers on Mac, Windows and Linux, with sample sessions and sky-planning tools. Stacking works without signing in; an optional Google account saves reusable Studio settings across browsers. Every mode and export is open during the beta. The proposed plans after beta are Free and Pro Beta at $5.99 per month or $39 per year. Pro is not yet available to buy; choosing a plan only records interest, and no card or charge is required. Large RAW sessions depend on your device memory.
