What is Speccy?
Speccy is a system information utility for PCs, available in installer and portable versions, supporting 24 languages. It quickly scans your computer, providing a detailed overview of all installed hardware components. This lightweight tool delivers advanced system information efficiently.
Speccy helps users understand their PC's inner workings, offering a summary and in-depth analysis of all hardware elements. This aids in making decisions about upgrades and purchases. It presents an organized interface, displaying comprehensive data on every hardware component, eliminating the need for manual stats search.
Speccy also helps solve problems by showing real-time temperatures of critical components, allowing users to identify potential issues. It offers a snapshot feature, enabling users to save their scan results for easy sharing. This is useful in verifying a new computer's specifications or when technical support needs to diagnose a computer issue.

Comments and Reviews
It's lightweight and displays maybe not as good as AIDA but every basic thing you need to know about your specs.
⚠️⚠️🚫🚫 Speccy is now owned by Avast. Do not download this software. 🚫🚫 ⚠️⚠️ Piriform (and Speccy that is under it) was acquired by Avast in July 2017 [https://press.avast.com/avast-acquires-piriform-maker-of-ccleaner](https://press.avast.com/avast-acquires-piriform-maker-of-ccleaner) Avast's reputation leaves a lot to be desired, they are just a profit-driven company that wants your data. Please download an open source alternative.
Works great on Win11. I've been using it to check my RAM specs to help me procuring new chips for an upgrade
Installed fine on Win 10. Gives some real eye-opening results.
When trying to start speccy on win 8 with the firewall turned on it freezes everything to a crawl or a complete halt, the keyboard not working even after ctrl+alt+delete, only the mouse moving. The only way to unstuck it is through the power off button. What an awful piece of software!
Without install, easy to read, so neat !
A lot has happened in the past 9 years; since last comment/review in this "Speccy" outline. Piriform was acquired by Avast in July 2017 https://press.avast.com/avast-acquires-piriform-maker-of-ccleaner Read the press release with a substantial grain of salt
Speccy is a very basic system reader. Free version comes in 2 varieties ... Portable by PortableApps. com . . . . "specPortable" Installer by CCleaner (alias. Piriform/Avast) . . . . "Speccy"
Before Avast acquired "Piriform", PortableApps.com released (portable) "Speccy" as did Piriform under the same (installer) name, "Speccy".
Avast's reputation IMO leaves a lot to be desired, if you have ever tried to uninstall "Avast AV" ... good luck ... they are reluctant to let you go. For years I used original "Piriform" ... CCleaner + Speccy. But now I use other more thorough programs/developers. Have you got your 3rd eye open ?
Cloud based services by Avast/Piriform ? I am not prepared to allow Avast access to my machines under any circmstances. o-----------------------------------------------------------------o Before Avast takeover; legacy Piriform programs ... GHacks blog 19-July-2017 ... Avast acquires Piriform
