Compared to Speccy, a key feature it's missing is a "summary screen" with an overview of the most important information from each page. On the other hand, it shows more technical details than Speccy does. While the features are similar, I feel they have slightly different use cases/audiences.

It correctly detects things that Speccy fails to, such as CPU core temperatures in modern AMD chips.

No, it's not. It does system reports AND benchmarks. Benchmarks are a part of it. I use it as self extracting file (rar) to get detailed reports of pcs via remote control. But Speccy also does a very good job!

It's sad that they're archived the repo and maybe discontinue the project. Nevertheless I liked compactness of this app and giving basic info with that short and nice and clean text.

Gives complete information on system hardware. Just pipe it to less to browse the information. Speccy formats this information well, but lshw seems to have as much info if you take the time to read it.
