What is SoShiny?

SoShiny is cloud-based community association management software for self-managed boards. It combines the association's full double-entry books, a general ledger with bills, bank reconciliation, budgets, reserves and 1099s, with everything else a board runs: dues collection, online voting, meetings and minutes, violations, architectural review, work orders, a member directory, document storage with e-signatures, and a public community website.

It is aimed at communities that do not employ a management company, and at boards that have outgrown spreadsheets but do not want enterprise pricing. There are no tiers: every one of the 55 apps is included on every plan at $25 a month plus 33 cents per unit. A guided import brings your chart of accounts, opening balances, month-by-month history, vendors and unpaid bills over from QuickBooks.

Built by a sitting condo board treasurer in Daytona Beach, Florida.
