What is SomedayX?

SomedayX is a free, open-source menu bar app that finds anything you've bookmarked or liked on X (Twitter), by meaning, not just keywords.

It lives entirely in the menu bar: click the icon (or double-tap Option from anywhere) and a search panel drops down. Type what you half-remember, like "that thread about pricing" or "screenshot of a dashboard", and it finds the post, even when the words are only inside an image. Right-click the icon for Sync Now, Open at Login, your SomedayX Wrapped, and AI Apps.

  • Searches by meaning, including text inside screenshots (Apple Vision OCR) and full X Articles
  • Runs 100% on your Mac with local AI models: no account, no X API, no cloud
  • Syncs your saves quietly in the background from the menu bar
  • Optional: lets Claude, the ChatGPT desktop app, Codex or Cursor search your saves (read-only, off by default)
  • Native SwiftUI, MIT licensed

Requires macOS 14+ on Apple Silicon.
