socat Alternatives
socat is described as 'relay for bidirectional data transfer between two independent data channels. Each of these data channels may be a file, pipe, device (serial line etc' and is an app. There are five alternatives to socat for Linux, Mac, Windows, Chrome OS and BSD. The best alternative is netcat, which is both free and Open Source. Other great apps like socat are pwncat, Port Map, Plink and NetCrypt.
