SMTPc Alternatives
SMTPc is described as 'is simple SMTP client for easy mail sending using CLI. It's dedicated for developers, however it's easy to use and every CLI user will be satisfied using this' and is an app in the development category. There are three alternatives to SMTPc for Linux, Xfce and BSD. The best alternative is msmtp, which is both free and Open Source. Other great apps like SMTPc are sSMTP and esmtp.
- In the default mode, it transmits a mail to an SMTP server (for example at a free mail provider) which takes care of further delivery. No screenshots yet
- sSMTP is a simple MTA to deliver mail from a computer to a mail server. sSMTP is simple and lightweight, there are no daemons or anything hogging up CPU; Just sSMTP. Unlike Exim4, sSMTP does not receive mail, expand aliases, or manage a queue.
