Upload a photo, scan or exported drawing, convert it and preview the result, then edit and download it. Diagram labels become typed text, while boxes, shapes and arrows become selectable elements you can move and restyle.
SketchAlchemy is designed to retain the original layout, relative sizing, colours and connections. Small illustrations can be retained as embedded image crops.
Choose the output that fits your workflow:
- A clean 2K PNG for sharing or presentation.
- An editable diagram exported as .excalidraw file for Excalidraw or an .excalidraw.md note for Obsidian's Excalidraw plugin.
- Both a clean image and an editable and searchable diagram.
Use it to bring software architecture sketches, process diagrams, workshop maps and visual notes into a digital workspace without rebuilding every element by hand. Review the conversion, correct labels or shapes as needed, and continue working on the diagram in the browser or your preferred Excalidraw environment.
Interactive examples let visitors edit real converted diagrams without creating an account and compare original and converted sketch side-by-side. The examples gallery also provides downloadable conversions.
New accounts receive $3 of trial credit, valid for 14 days, with no credit card required. After the trial, prepaid credit packs are available without a subscription, alongside optional monthly plans. Processing cost varies with the complexity and density of the sketch, and an estimate is shown before a job runs.
The main user interface of the web application is English, but the conversions work for almost all languages.
