I searched a slim and super easy version of Excel for my father and my little brother: they are not used to use a PC, they just need to create a short table sometimes and install Libreoffice to use Calc seems a waste to me.
I really liked the idea of Alan Conroy to create this basic-featured program, unfortunately it is no longer updated since 2007 and doesn't not support export to xls file for portability (it uses its unique sss extension).
