The Simple Mobile Tools suite of mobile apps have been bought by ZipoApps in December 2023, and now show some ads, while not being open source anymore. Makes you sit through 20 agonizing seconds of a bootup screen and ad with every launch. I'd rather tattoo a reversed shopping list on my forehead than ever use this.

Libre, light, fast, simple, flexible, adaptable, intuitive, responsive, it's on f-droid.
Was sold to zipoapps.

Highly advise against this. The dev is pushing a 14 day trial scam without telling people. Any notes you have will be held hostage until you pay up. So people who are looking for a private alternative and decide to transfer over all their notes will be upset to find them all gone in 14 days.
You can just install the app from F-Droid, and it will be 100% free. Only the pro version on the Google Play Store is paid.
Perfect for what I need, a few notes for different aspects of my life, that I can easily share via a text, email, etc. No ads, no "Plus" version, just a good app for 90% of users. Uses a small database for storing notes, so you don't have to worry about "saving" notes, naming them, or anything else that harkens back to the 1980s,
Been using this for several months now, as well as the "Draw" and "Calendar" apps, since I'm averse to using adware/spyware when it comes to business. The author posts the code on GitHub, so our security folks were able to audit it and verify it was clean, too.
