What is SHOUTcast Radio?
SHOUTcast Radio was a home of free Internet Radio, founded in 1999. SHOUTcast Radio grew into one of the largest directories of professionally and community themed programmed radio stations in the world. It allowed anyone in the community, whether an individual broadcasting in their basement or a professionally run station, to set up a SHOUTcast station. The service was widely accessible, integrated with its sister product Winamp and stations available on the web, through media players (iTunes and Windows Media Player, on set-top boxes, and portable devices (Sony Mylo, PSP). Winamp has become obsolete, though Shoutcast is available through different players; however, one must pay for the service now.

Comments and Reviews
Shoutcast can't classify its radio stations worth a shit, might as well replace the genre/category menu with a random button, same result
It’s dead, Jim. SHOUTcast used to be a simple directory for online radios. All independent. Now it has been sold and re-sold, its corpse fleeced and pickrd clean, its design and functionality ruined, and turned into just another Content Mafia thievery device (= paying money and getting no work in return, but mere copies, while abusing artists), like all the others. Thanks, but information is free, and always will be!
It is no longer free :( must pay
