Shelly is an open-source terminal IDE and AI agent runtime for Android. It ships its own native PTY terminal with bash, git, Python 3, Node.js, ssh, tmux, vim and other tools bundled in the APK, so it works without Termux or a PC.

  • Multi-pane layout (terminal, AI chat, browser, Markdown preview), up to 4 panes on tablets and foldables
  • AI panes backed by your own API keys (Gemini, Groq, Cerebras, Perplexity) or local LLMs running on the device
  • Scheduled background agents that wake on an alarm, research, summarize and save results as Markdown
  • ChatGPT remote control: the ChatGPT app (Codex) can run commands and phone tasks on the device, with every action approved on the phone
