What is SheetDelta?

SheetDelta is a platform that reviews changes in spreadsheets before they are implemented. It operates within existing workspaces like SharePoint or OneDrive, eliminating the need for migration or new saving locations. When a new version is saved, SheetDelta transforms it into a reviewable change, detailing the modifications made and their safety for approval.

The review process scrutinizes every edited formula, changed value, and structural alteration. It checks the file against common spreadsheet risks such as inconsistent formulas and broken references. It also allows for custom controls to be added. Reviewers can comment on specific cells and approve or reject changes.

You can start with a track-only mode and only activate the review process where necessary. The platform is currently in early access. It can also function independently, available as a free browser tool, Excel add-in, desktop and terminal application, and through an MCP server for AI checks. All versions work without needing Excel installed.
