Shake It On

Shake It On is a menu bar app for macOS that keeps your Mac awake by moving the cursor in a smooth, natural pattern, so the system idle timer, Slack and Teams presence and remote desktop sessions all stay active. Keep-awake apps that only hold a power assertion don't create input; Shake It On does, which matters on managed Macs where Energy Saver settings are locked. A stealth mode sends input without visibly moving the cursor, for screen sharing.

Conditions decide when it runs: CPU above a threshold, specific apps running, a Wi-Fi network, VPN, IP range, external display or disk, USB or Bluetooth devices, or audio playing. It pauses on its own when you're on battery, your camera is on, a Focus mode is active, the screen is locked or a chosen app is in front. Day-of-week schedules, snooze, named sessions, Shortcuts actions, AppleScript and a URL scheme are included.
