The one design decision behind SevenGrid: no streaks. Most trackers make a long unbroken chain the reward, and the day you miss one, the number resets and the app quietly tells you that you failed. That reset is a fragile proxy for the thing you actually care about.

The behaviour research points the same way. Lally et al. found a single missed day doesn't meaningfully dent habit formation, and Gollwitzer's work on cues/implementation intentions matters far more than an unbroken count. So instead of a streak, SevenGrid shows your whole week as seven boxes, and goals flex ("3x per week" rather than "every day"). Miss a day, nothing breaks.

It's Android-only, works fully on-device with no account, and the free version covers the core.

Happy to answer anything.

What is SevenGrid?

SevenGrid is a calm habit tracker for Android that shows your whole week on one screen: one row per habit, seven boxes, one tap per day. There are no streaks to break and no guilt when you miss a day. Weekly goals flex with real life ("3x per week" instead of "every day"), and an "at most" mode tracks things you want to do less. Everything stays on your phone: no account, no cloud, no ads. Free for up to three habits; a single one-time purchase unlocks unlimited habits. Includes home-screen widgets, a weekly reflection, twenty colour themes, and local backup/restore. The app goes online for two things only: checking your purchase status and sending anonymous crash reports, which you can turn off.
