Server Ping & Storage Monitor information
What is Server Ping & Storage Monitor?
Server Ping & Storage Monitor is a Windows desktop application for monitoring host availability, ping latency, and disk/storage health from one simple interface.
It can monitor routers, PCs, servers, NAS devices, and other reachable network hosts using ping checks. It also supports selected storage health checks depending on the configured device type, including local Windows disk health, Linux and Proxmox over SSH using smartmontools, Buffalo TeraStation over SNMP, older Buffalo LinkStation devices over web HTTP, and tested Synology NAS setups.
The app is designed for small networks, home labs, NAS owners, and users who want a local Windows monitoring tool without running a full server-based monitoring platform.
Main features include ping status, latency display, storage health status, RAID/NAS/server health information where supported, configurable ping intervals, configurable latency limits, configurable storage check intervals, sound alerts, custom WAV alert sounds, adjustable text size, selectable visible columns, and light/dark themes.
The Free edition supports up to 5 hosts with ping checks only. The 7-day Pro Trial enables storage checks and sound alerts for up to 5 hosts. Pro Personal is a one-time license that supports up to 25 hosts and enables ping, storage checks, and sound alerts.
Compatibility depends on device type, firmware, permissions, SNMP output, SSH configuration, and available disk health data. Users should test their real setup with the trial before buying.
