SEE Finance (v.2) is far superior to Quicken and also much less expensive. It is robust and reliable. I have never experienced lost data or corruption with SEE Finance 2 (nor with its predecessor, SEE Finance) whereas with Quicken I had repeated issues of data corruption, glitches, bugs, etc. Quicken over-promises and under-delivers and keeps trying to tack-on new bells and whistles without fixing core functions of the product. SEE Finance is a joy to use in comparison to Quicken and other personal finance application I have used in the past. Just the simple way that you can make multiple transaction selections and change all of their categories or payees in two clicks is a godsend compared to the slow, clunky and buggy alternatives. SEE Finance also keeps all your financial data private since it is a local application, not some web-based service like Mint. Most web-based services scrap your data so they can upsell you services or sell your data to third parties. Easy data synchronization via iCloud if you want to enable that. Password protected data files. SEE Finance can be used freely during a trial period if you want to give it a test drive. MacOS native with native iOS/iPad OS apps.
