SDR-- is an open-source software-defined radio application. You build receivers by wiring nodes together: radio into demodulator, demodulator into speaker, decoder into map. You can see the whole signal path at a glance. Controls you use often can be pinned to a compact Rack view.
It runs as a desktop app with a local radio, or as a headless server next to the antenna that you open in any browser. Both use the same engine and interface.
Listening: AM, NFM, broadcast FM with stereo and RDS, SSB, DAB and digital voice.
Decoding: ADS-B aircraft, AIS ships, FT8, FT4, WSPR, POCSAG pagers, SSTV, amateur TV, ISM sensors and more.
Tools: passive radar and direction finding with coherent arrays like the KrakenSDR, satellite tracking with Doppler correction, a propagation map, scanning, signal identification, a NanoVNA antenna analyzer, an antenna calculator, and a codeplug programmer for AnyTone and Radtel radios.
Field mode: take direction finding and signal hunting to your phone.
Recording: device IQ, channel baseband and audio, with SigMF playback.
Automation: REST, WebSocket and MCP APIs, network IQ export and event forwarding.
Hardware: RTL-SDR, HackRF, Airspy, Pluto, SDRplay, KiwiSDR and SoapySDR devices.
Written in Rust. The DSP path never locks or allocates, and passive radar uses the GPU.
