WHAT YOU SEE
• Day view — a large hourly bar chart colored by category, your most-used apps, category breakdown, and pickups (how many sessions, your first and most-opened app of the day).
• Week view — a 7-day chart with category totals and top apps.
• Unlimited history — step back to any past day or week and see how your habits change over time.
STAY IN CONTROL (soft, never forced)
• App & category limits — set a daily limit for any app or whole category.
• Scheduled downtime — pick quiet hours and days (overnight windows like 23:00–07:00 supported).
• When you reach a limit or enter downtime, you get a desktop notification plus a clean full-screen reminder — with a Continue (snooze) button or Close. It's a gentle nudge, not a lockout. Screen Time never kills your apps or blocks you from working.
SMART, AUTOMATIC ORGANIZATION
• Apps are categorized automatically using a built-in list. • Change a category once and it sticks — applied to every past and future day for that app.
• Games are detected automatically, with a manual toggle when you disagree.
MADE FOR FOCUS, NOT FRICTION
• Close the window and it keeps tracking from the tray.
• Idle-aware: stops counting after 60 seconds of inactivity, so your numbers reflect real use.
• Daily active goal with a soft notification when you hit it.
• Light / Dark / System theme.
• Start with Windows, pause tracking anytime, export a day to CSV, or clear a day's data — all in Settings.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Screen Time only records the active app, window title, executable path, and how long apps spend in the foreground, background, or idle. It does NOT take screenshots, log your keystrokes, read your files, or send your data anywhere. There is no internet connection for your usage data — ever.
