What is Runsite?
Runsite is a platform-as-a-service hosted entirely on European infrastructure. Users connect a GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket repository, and each push builds and deploys the application with automatic SSL certificates and zero-downtime rolling releases. Common frameworks such as Next.js, Django, FastAPI, Rails, Laravel and Spring Boot are detected automatically, and applications with an existing Dockerfile are built from it.
Alongside web services, the platform provides static site hosting on a CDN, managed PostgreSQL with daily backups and built-in connection pooling, a Redis 7-compatible in-memory store with Pub/Sub and automatic failover, S3-compatible object storage without egress fees, and a transactional email API.
Billing is hourly and usage-based with no per-seat charges, and a monthly spending cap pauses services rather than running up a bill. A free tier without a credit card covers one web service, one database of each type, 5 GB of object storage and 3,000 emails per month; free databases are limited to 30 days, while web services, static sites and storage have no time limit.
All servers are located in the EU, application data and database backups do not leave EU borders, invoicing is in euro, and a GDPR data processing agreement is provided with every account.
