What is RoomCalm?
RoomCalm redesigns a room from a single photo and keeps what is already in it. Instead of replacing your room with a generic staged render, it works from your actual walls, windows and proportions, and keeps the furniture you own.
The free tier needs no sign-up, no card and adds no watermark. Upload one photo, choose a style, and you get the redesigned room, room-coach notes explaining what changed and why, and a shop-the-look list for anything genuinely missing.
Paid plans unlock the Room Plan: the exact paint brand codes with LRV values, a lighting plan worked out in lumens, and the designer rules applied to your specific room. Studio generates three designer concepts of the same room and turns the one you pick into a printable spec book.
Other tools on the site are free to use: a paint colour visualiser that repaints your walls in the browser, a Calm Score that rates how restful a room reads, a cross-brand paint matcher, a will-it-fit calculator and a style quiz.
The design rules it applies are published openly rather than hidden, covering NKBA clearances, IES lighting guidance, the 57-inch hanging rule, LRV and 60-30-10 colour balance.
