What is Rocuronium?

Rocuronium is a macOS menu bar daemon, command-line tool and MCP server for AI agents to read and operate Mac apps. Agents can read interface text, click, type, scroll and capture windows using accessibility, per-process input, OCR and local vision models.

Each action returns evidence with a confirmed, noEffect or unverifiable verdict. Incremental reads return changes since the previous observation. Sequence plans combine actions with postcondition checks, and a virtual display can isolate a working window.

Background input lets the person at the keyboard keep working. Cursor-taking actions use a presence overlay and approval controls; a global emergency-stop shortcut halts automation, with resume controlled from the menu bar.

Requires macOS 26.5 or later on Apple silicon. Free and open source under the MIT license, with a signed, notarized download and Homebrew installation.
