Revline

Revline is an open-source alternative to tools like Descript, CapCut and Opus Clip. Instead of building every cut by hand, you describe the edit in plain language and Revline's agent makes it on a real, editable timeline.

It removes filler and false starts, adds word-by-word animated captions, turns long podcasts and streams into short clips, reframes for 9:16, 1:1 or 16:9, and builds motion graphics such as launch films. Effects include text behind the subject, tracked labels, speed ramps, masks and split screens. You can trim, move or undo anything yourself.

Revline also runs as a remote MCP server, so coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex and Cursor can edit video directly. The source is Apache-2.0 licensed and can be self-hosted; the hosted version has a 3-day free trial, then a monthly subscription.
