What is Research Web Highlighter?

Research Web Highlighter is a Chrome extension for people who read a lot online. Select text on any webpage, pick one of four colors, and the highlight stays there when you come back.

Save in one click with the color buttons, the Alt+Shift+H shortcut or the right-click menu. A side panel lists every highlight on the current page, so you can jump to it, change its color, add a note, copy it or delete it with undo. Sticky notes can be attached to a specific paragraph.

Everything goes into a library with folders, favorites and search across text, notes and sources. One click takes you back to the exact spot on the original page. You can export to Markdown, CSV or JSON and restore a backup on another computer.

Your highlights, notes and pages are stored locally in Chrome, not on a server. The interface is available in 15 languages. Free to use, with paid plans for more saves and folders.
