What is ReNamer?
ReNamer is a robust and adaptable file renaming utility that encompasses a comprehensive array of standard renaming procedures. These procedures include the addition of prefixes and suffixes, replacement operations, case modifications, and the removal of bracket contents. The software also supports the integration of number sequences, the alteration of file extensions, and other similar tasks.
For those with more advanced technical skills, ReNamer provides support for RegEx and includes a PascalScript rule. This feature enables users to create and implement their own unique renaming rules. Multiple renaming actions can be consolidated into a rule set, which can then be applied in a logical sequence. These rule sets can be saved, loaded, and managed directly within the software's interface.
ReNamer also extends its capabilities to the renaming of folders and the processing of regular expressions. It is Unicode capable and supports a diverse range of meta tags, including but not limited to ID3v1, ID3v2, EXIF, OLE, AVI, MD5, CRC32, and SHA1.

Comments and Reviews
Extremely powerful renamer, with RegEx and Pascal-based rules. You can stack any number of rules and execute them on the files and folders. You can enable/disable any of the rules, or change their order, and check the effect.
ReNamer is Freemium which only store max 5 presets or rules
Unsigned but clean on VirusTotal and done the job I wanted it to do.
NOT digitally signed in 2022, i will guess it's spyware.
There are different types of file renamers. ReNamer, will rename random files vs systematized ones, more easily than many other programs .. which is good in my case to put a suffix to differentiate files so that I can transfer them to a folder w/ similarly named files w/o overwriting. FastFileRenamer looks good if you 'v a bunch of files that are already somewhat systematized because it looks for patterns & updates by position (like 3rd character)
Powerful, very flexible, yet a little complicate to use
For the amount of stuff it can do, it's not complicated at all. Look at Bulk Rename Utility, if you want to see a terrible UI.
Yes! It's the best. Frequently updated too. Hooray!
