What is RemoteDesk?
RemoteDesk is a lightweight program for remote computer control. It can be used by support personnel to provide remote assistance, or by individuals who want to access their own computers remotely. RemoteDesk doesn't require any registration or user account and is completely free to use.
The program connects two users through a bridge server, so neither side needs a public IP address, VPN, or special firewall configuration.
RemoteDesk uses a WebSocket tunnel for screen sharing, which typically works well even in corporate environments.
Besides remote desktop control, the tool supports advanced features like remote command line and port forwarding.
Currently, the client is available for Windows, but since it is based on Qt, it can be compiled for macOS and Linux as well.
RemoteDesk is completely free with no limitations. Commercial support and the option to purchase a dedicated bridge server (for full control of traffic) are available—please contact us through the product website.
