Remastersys Alternatives

    Remastersys is described as 'was a tool that could be used to do two things with an existing Debian, Ubuntu or derivative installation. 1. It can make a full system backup including personal data to a live CD or DVD that you can use anywhere and install'. There are five alternatives to Remastersys for Linux and Online / Web-based. The best alternative is Systemback, which is both free and Open Source. Other great apps like Remastersys are Customizer (Free, Open Source), penguins-eggs (Free, Open Source), Distroshare Ubuntu Imager (Free, Open Source) and Linux Respin (Free, Open Source).

    2. Distroshare Ubuntu Imager is a shell script for "re-mastering" your current installation. This means that the script creates and installable distribution for your current system. It excludes your home directory and any personal files.
