Recombee is a real-time Recommendation-as-a-service (SaaS). It offers an intuitive RESTful API, excellent documentation and SDKs in many different languages (Java, Python, PHP, Ruby,...). It is domain-independent and has successful applications in areas such as job offers, news, online retail, cultural events, video-on-demand or mobile apps. Even the most complex business rules and requirements can be expressed using innovative filtering/boosting query language (ReQL), allowing the engine to be customized even for the most demanding customers.
The models are fully real-time, the recommendations immediately react to user's actions (views, purchases, bookmarks, etc.). It always adapts to the available data, which may be user interactions (for collaborative filtering) or item descriptions (for text-mining/content-based-recommendation). Larger data (interactions from the past, catalog of items) can be submitted in batch requests.
The service is FREE for up to 99,999 recommendation requests per month (all data uploads are free of charge), but horizontally scalable for large traffic (can deliver more than 500 recommendations/second).
Recombee also provides intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) which allows you to monitor you KPIs (such as CTR/CR) in near real-time. No matter the domain, the use-cases include homepage personalization, similar items recommendation, personalized emailing campaigns, search results sorting etc. These different scenarios (places where the recommendation is being used) are independently optimized by Artificial intelligence (AI), which uses AB/multivariate testing to automatically construct the right model ensembles and fine-tune their parameters.
