Not a Readability alternative since it doesn't have a readability feature. Just bookmarks.
I have been looking for a replacement for Clearly that works in all browsers. Readability looks like a partial solution, but isn't listed as working with Vivaldi or Opera - my 2 most used browsers. I can always fire up Chrome on those occasions when I need to make a page into text only but that is a pain.
I don't see seldom updates as a problem as long as it works. Clearly never had to be updated for my use. I'll give Readability a try and see if it works for me.
There are a lot of users complaining about Readability apps: last iOS update dates back to October 2014 and Android version even to January 2013.
