What is Rayscaper?

Rayscaper is a physically based render extension for SketchUp, built on the Cycles path tracer. Its render window follows the SketchUp camera and updates while you model, orbit and change settings, so there is no separate preview and final render.

It starts from the colors and textures of your SketchUp materials, has tools to place point lights, spotlights (with IES profiles) and area lights, and renders sky, sun and HDRI environments, with the option to follow SketchUp's own sun. Materials and HDRIs from Poly Haven are built into its asset library. It also has AI denoising, post processing (exposure, tone mapping, bloom, vignette), scatters for grass and trees, and animations from SketchUp scenes.

The free version has every feature but adds a watermark to renders. A license is a one-time purchase. Rayscaper runs on Windows with SketchUp 2024, 2025 and 2026.
