What is QuickSwitch?

"Open/save as" file dialog improvement. QuickSwitch lets you automatically switch to the path you need if it's open in any of the supported file managers (File Explorer, Directory Opus, Total Commander, XYPlorer)

It has two modes:

  1. Menu mode: displays a list of opened directories. Selecting one switches the file dialog to that path. The menu won't appear if no directories are open.
  2. AutoSwitch mode: the file dialog automatically opens the last active directory in the file manager when you Alt-Tab between them. If the file manager was active before opening the dialog, it opens that directory immediately. You can still use Ctr+Q to access the menu if needed.

You can add specific file dialog to the Black List to disable QuickSwitch in web browser or another app. Use Ctr+Q to access the Menu if needed.

These options work separately for each window, which makes it possible to customize the application for each dialog.

You can even select the Mouse button as the Menu opening key, as well as Capslock, Space, Windows and other special keys.

And if you are always opening a different directories and saving different files and paths from file managers are not enough for you, you can also enable:

  • Pinned paths (that are always visible)
  • Favorite paths (with customizable icons and names)
  • Clipboard paths (copy any paths and you will see it in the Menu).

And of course you can customize the display of paths in the Menu settings:

  • Apply dark theme and dark colors.
  • Delete duplicate paths.
  • Limit paths count
  • Display short path instead of long path and customize it ...and many more options are available!

Save and open files with convenience and speed.
