There are eight games similar to Quetoo for a variety of platforms, including Mac, Windows, Linux, BSD and PortableApps.com. The best alternative is Xonotic, which is both free and Open Source. - Nexuiz was originally developed by Lee Vermeulen and Forest ‘LordHavoc’ Hale, who started Alientrap in the summer of 2002.

Nexuiz is no longer developed. It's successor is Xonotic , but last version of Nexuiz Classic, 2.5.2, released in 2009, can be still downloaded from the official website.
