Publii is described as 'Allows to you build, modify and manage an unlimited number of sites from the same app with instant switching; no databases or other credentials to remember' and is a Website Builder in the development category. There are more than 25 alternatives to Publii for a variety of platforms, including Web-based, Self-Hosted, Mac, Windows and Linux apps. The best Publii alternative is Ghost. It's not free, so if you're looking for a free alternative, you could try Ghost or Grav. Other great apps like Publii are BOWWE, Nicepage, GetSimple CMS and Gridea.
The world's most popular modern publishing platform for creating a new media platform.

Grav is an easy to use, yet powerful, opensource CMS that requires no database. In a nutshell, installing Grav is a matter of unzipping the file. It is fast, has sophisticated caching, and a light footprint for optimal performance.

Create fully customizable websites using a browser-based drag & drop interface with no downloads or programming required, thousands of editable templates, options for blogs and online stores, multimedia support, and direct online publishing for any use case.

Publii is an offline self-contained desktop app while Wix is an online platform!

No-code and low-code web platform offering drag and drop builder, automatic high-quality code, mobile responsiveness, adaptable branding sections, and integrated templates for fast creation of sites, landing pages, portfolios, and scalable projects by anyone.

1st Website Designer breaking limitations of website builders with the freehand positioning. Nicepage generates mobile-friendly websites with the clean HTML code. Only Nicepage is available for Windows, Mac OS, WordPress, Joomla and online.

Well, considering that I have been searching for Linux-compatible apps, etc. for a day and a half and gone through 8 different searches with slightly different criteria, one thing has been constant...until now! Nicepage is not nice when it comes to Linux! So much so that it is not even listed as a possible workaround!

GetSimple is an XML based lite Content Management System. To go along with its best-in-class user interface, we have loaded it with features that every website needs, but with nothing it doesn't. GetSimple is truly the simplest way to manage a small-business website.

Publii is a desktop editor, GetSimple is something very different
Publli is a desktop application, GetSimple CMS server-based. The technical prerequisites have to be completely different. Please remove GetSimple as alternative for Publii.

Gridea A static blog writing client. GUI static website generator. It can export to html. Publish to Github Pages.

I tested Gridea (as the desktop application, not the online blogging tool), and I’m totally dissatisfied. It destroyed my two articles for unknown reasons, the user interface is not completely translated from Chinese into English, the font in the editor is not adjustable, the development is somehow sluggish, and so on. No, thanks, I will delete this from my computer. Publii works much better.

SubPage helps you create important pages for your website as easy as filling a form that are otherwise tough to create or maintain with your existing website builder. Create pages like FAQ, glossary, policies, careers and more with no-code and no-design.

Kalmia is a Go tool with a web interface for managing RsPress documentation. It supports multiple versions, multiple users, and includes a Markdown editor for easy edits.

HTMLy is an open source databaseless PHP blogging platform. A flat-file CMS that allows you to create a fast, secure, and powerful website or blog in seconds.

Nitropage is a completely free, open-source, self-hostable alternative to visual drag-and-drop website builders such as Squarespace and Wix. Create your own building blocks with [SolidJS](https://www.solidjs.

It's not at all the same thing
