Promptbar

Promptbar is a browser extension that stores your own prompts and drops them into any text box with a keystroke. Type a short trigger, pick a saved prompt, and it lands in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or any other site with a text field.

Prompts can hold {{variables}} you fill in at the moment you insert them, so one saved prompt covers many uses.

What is Promptbar?

Promptbar is a browser extension that stores your own prompts and drops them into any text box with a keystroke. Type a short trigger, pick a saved prompt, and it lands in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or any other site with a text field.

The extension never calls an AI service of its own. It only inserts text you wrote yourself, which means it works the same way on every site and keeps working when a model or a website changes.

Saved prompts support {{variables}} that you fill in at the moment you insert them, so a single prompt can cover many uses instead of being copied and edited each time.

Everything is stored locally in the browser. There is no account, no sign-up, no cloud sync, no telemetry and no ads. It is built for people who keep re-typing the same handful of prompts and want them one keystroke away, rather than browsing a store of thousands of templates written by strangers.
