What is Prime Cache?

Prime Cache is a free, open-source (GPL) caching and performance plugin for WordPress.

It covers page caching, HTML/CSS/JS minification, critical CSS, unused-CSS removal, WebP conversion, lazy loading, Brotli compression and link prefetching.

An Auto preset applies a working configuration in one click, so there is no settings maze to work through before the first measurable result. If something looks wrong, a Safe preset returns everything to a conservative configuration in one click.

It runs on ordinary shared hosting with no server configuration and no external service. The rules it needs are written to .htaccess automatically.

The plugin is free on WordPress.org and not time-limited. An optional paid add-on, Prime Cache Pro, adds object caching and further tuning.
