What is PlayOnLinux - PlayOnMac?
PlayOnLinux (PlayOnMac at http://www.playonmac.com) is a tool to help Linux (and Mac) users run games and programs for Windows on Linux (or Mac, FreeBSD), via the use of (as a front-end for) Wine. Few games are compatible at the moment, and it certainly is a factor preventing the migration to this system. PlayOnLinux brings an accessible and efficient solution to this problem, cost-free and respectful of the free software.

I tested Microsoft Office 2010 with Microsoft Access. I am very happy with it. The only thing to observe is that the script refers to the standard version of MS Office, not to Office Pro. Therefore, in order to get a shortcut for Access, once you installed Office you have to click "configure", then click on your Office version, for instance Office2010. Now click "Make a new shortcut from this virtual machine". PlayOnLinux will scan the whole virtual drive. Now select msaccess.exe and give it a name. That's all.
