Comments and Reviews
The first media player for Apple TV I could find that was able to connect to the CIFS share I have on my Windows file server (on another subnet). I couldn't find any way to connect to a hidden share though, since there's no way to enter a share path manually.
It works, and plays all media formats I've tried, which is good enough for me.
One seriously stupid detail is that it includes both user name and password in plaintext in the CIFS url on the info page of each media file, so somebody could simply take a photo of the screen to gain that information. It should AT LEAST replace the password with asterisks, but also have a setting to simply not show the url at all.
