What is Pictune?
Pictune is a free, open-source desktop app for Windows, macOS, and Linux that turns your cover art and audio files into a YouTube-ready video in just a few clicks. Built with Tauri and Rust, it runs entirely on your machine - your files are never uploaded to a server, and it works fully offline.
Just drop in a cover image (JPG, PNG, or WEBP) and one or more audio tracks (MP3, WAV) in any order, preview the total duration, and render at 720p or 1080p with a live progress bar and ETA. Once done, you can jump straight to the output file in your file manager.
It's designed as a privacy-respecting alternative to services like TunesToTube, which upload your files to their servers and charge a monthly fee to remove watermarks. Pictune has no watermark, no paid tier, and no internet connection required - just a fast, local tool for turning music into video.
