We switched from MailChimp due to privacy/AI training concerns. It has the makings of an alternative. For our purposes, a monthly email to about 300 subscribers, we use the first paid-for tier, which is cheap enough. However, it is clunky - there are numerous broken links in the sketchy online manual. EMail campaign templates don't work - they throw a lot of stray code into the email message. It turns out that we'd have to pay more for list segmentation, something that is available in MailChimp's free tier.Support is slow. Now cancelled subscription (by request as there is no option in the dashboard). Moving list to MailerLite, which works well with another group whose email list I manage - and free for less than 1000 addresses.
