NanaZip is a lot faster UI-wise than Peazip. Otherwise they have a similar concept (refresh of 7Zip's UX).

Also NanaZip's checksum works from the context menu. For some reason I got an error (no application found) when trying to generate checksums from PeaZip's context menu. Looking for the Peazip exe manually didn't work either.

So NanaZip is a bit better for me.

The original source might be discontinued but there are new forks, so this is still a good alternative.

While it's a command-line program, p7zip is a good alternative to PeaZip in that it offers the same features including the archive formats that each can create.

KGB Archiver is the compression tool with an unbelievably high compression rate. Unfortunately, in spite of its powerful compression rate, it has high hardware requirements (I recommend processor with 1,5GHz clock and 256MB of RAM as an essential minimum).
