Paw-Paw is a free native desktop pet for macOS. A small illustrated animal sits on your screen, reacts as you type and click, naps when you pause, and cheers you on in little speech bubbles.
Two seasons of free content unlock as you level up: dozens of Paw-Paws and more than 100 wearable items. Each season and collection has its own level track, and you choose which one earns XP. A Library window lets you choose your Paw-Paw, browse and search items, mark favorites, and track achievements, with gifts and secret pairings to discover. Desktop controls include Small, Medium or Large size, Mirror Mode, opacity, and Click-Through.
It is a signed, notarized, universal app for macOS 13 or later on Apple silicon and Intel, downloaded directly from paw-paw.pet. New items, Paw-Paws and speech-bubble lines can arrive without an app update. Free, with no ads, no subscription, and no account required; signing in is optional and combines your progress across Macs. An optional Illustrain Collection with illustrations by Illustrain (5 Paw-Paws and 57 items) costs USD 2.99 once; buying it requires signing in.
Paw-Paw needs macOS Accessibility permission to work. It counts key and click events; it does not log or send what you type.
