What is Partydub?

PartyDub is a browser-based dubbing party game. Two to ten people can join a room, each person is cast as a character in a short clip, and everyone records their lines simultaneously. After the round ends, each version is played back and the room votes on the best one.

The clip is read by your browser and sent directly to the other players, without ever touching a server. There is no feed, gallery, or share button. Recordings only exist in memory for the duration of the round and are gone when the session ends.

Additional features include:

  • Ranked matches: Queue alone, get a random scene, and voice every character. The server scores the performances, eliminating the need for voting. There are six tiers from Extra to Legend, with a public leaderboard.
  • Chaos modes: Features such as blind casting, emotion prompts, random voice filters, short fuse, no script, silent film, and one-take-only.
  • Dub Pack editor: A free Choicer Voicer and Voxalike pack editor. Import a pack, mark who speaks when against the waveform, retime and split lines. Editing is free; exporting a finished pack is a supporter feature.
  • Automatic line detection: The clip's audio is analysed to find the lines worth dubbing.

The game is free to play. A $5/month supporter tier adds features such as rooms of up to ten players, ten-minute clips, 100 clip scans a month, pack export for Choicer Voicer and Voxalike, the separated backing track, every chaos mode and voice filter, and downloads without a watermark.

The game requires a recent Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari over HTTPS and is available in English, German, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), French, Swedish, Polish, Italian and Dutch.
