What is Particl Coin?
PART is your privacy-preserving cryptocurrency where you decide whether to leave a trace or not. As a result, you can make independent, secure, borderless, and private payments without requiring any third party like a bank or a payment processor.
PART is also the settlement currency of the Particl Marketplace and means, regardless of the currency used by the buyer to initiate a transaction, all payments on the marketplace are ultimately converted into PART before the escrow stage.
It's an independent coin based on Bitcoin's blockchain technology, where multiple privacy and utility technologies have been added. At the same time, it's always kept up-to-date with the latest Bitcoin and RingCT privacy tech advancements.
Particl's uniqueness is that RingCT implementation can be linked to blind outputs (Confidential Transactions (CT)). The possibility of routing RingCT outputs (non-programmable) into CT inputs (programmable) and the Bitcoin codebase allows for programmable privacy-preserving smart contracts. That's how the Particl Marketplace (100% decentralized and anonymous) is possible even though transactions are using RingCT, which typically has no programmable outputs and wouldn't allow for something like this. This makes it different from Monero, which also uses RingCT technologies but on a different codebase.
